Bali Holistic Health Spiritual Retreat
Services we offer
Appropriately nicknamed, “The Island of the Gods,” Bali is ripe with culture. The climate is tropical and comfortable year-round, the locals are kind-hearted and welcoming, and our rural location provides an optimal setting for you to begin your transformation journey. Bali also has a thriving recovery and 12-step community, meaning there’s no shortage of like-minded individuals on the island, and peer support is always within reach.
Diversity in Culture and Values:
Bali’s unique culture intertwines Hinduism and Buddhism, and the locals maintain strong communal values with an appreciation for beauty in all of their surroundings. You’ll find these ideals woven throughout Balinese culture, including the local art, dress, décor, and daily offerings.
Everyday expressions of gratitude for even the simplest things, like a flower in bloom or the kindness of a stranger, creates a sense of calm and joy that seems to permeate the whole island. It’s a special place, and adopting the mindset of the Balinese while being submersed in such a unique culture can play a pivotal role in your own personal transformation.
Tri Hita Karana:
Tri Hita Karana literally translates into “the three causes of well-being.” It’s the traditional philosophy for life among the Balinese, meant to bring about harmonious relationships and also credited for the island’s overall prosperity. The island-wide concept ties together our relationship to a God of our understanding, our surroundings, and to humanity.
At Prana Bali, we adhere strongly to the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, not only out of respect for the local culture, but because we’ve been personally influenced by this transformative concept. Maintaining a state of balance between God, Mother Earth, and all individuals has enabled the island of Bali to thrive, and the locals are some of the happiest, most balanced individuals we’ve ever met. We’ve learned a lot from the Balinese, and this simple principle provides yet another great foundation for growth and recovery.
Bali has all of the comforts of the modern world as well, including medical care, an international airport, and readily accessible internet. To top it off, Ubud is a mecca for health conscious expats and travelers. The town offers an array of natural and organic food choices, including vegan cafes, juice and elixir bars, and raw food restaurants. Traditional Balinese and standard Indonesian fare are also rich with exotic flavors and spices, and absolutely worth trying if you’ve never had them before. You’ll find there’s no shortage of food variety on the island and most local establishments place a high value on quality, particularly in Ubud.
Prana Bali is located directly in the heart of Ubud which is known as the spiritual and creative center of the island. It’s easily accessible from the airport but removed from the party scenes of Seminyak and Kuta. Here, you’ll experience the real magic of the island while you begin your Bali recovery journey and take your first steps toward a life altering change.
